Review of New iPad Mini

The iPad Mini got a makeover in 2021, and users love it. But before we dive in, here’s a quick rundown of the pros and cons:

  • New all-screen
  • Support 5G and pencil
  • Good battery life
  • Apple iPad Mini 6 Screen

  • Design price
  • No magic keyboard

The renewed screen has to be one of the most exciting updates that the small tablet has received this year. Apple replaced the old panel with the edge-to-edge. The new screen is 8.3-inch Liquid Retina IPS.

Thanks to the resolution of 326 PPI and 2266 x 1488, the image of the new iPad is exceptionally sharp and vivid. As with other iPad models, this one has the True Tone function, which adjusts the intensity of the screen according to the ambient light of the environment. These features make streaming a pretty joyful experience.

The screen is fully laminated and has a fingerprint-resistant and anti-reflective coating.

The recent Apple A15 Bionic chip powers the Mini 6. This tablet is incredibly fast, thanks to a six-core processor, a five-core GPU and a 16-core neural engine. It allows you to run multiple tasks and different applications in the background without noticeable lag.

Another interesting thing about this new mini tablet is the 2nd generation Apple Pencil support. This means that you can draw and create other digital artworks on the go. In addition, the Mini 6 can detect your handwriting and turn it into text.

By now, you’ve probably heard that the new Mini doesn’t have a headphone port. And although some users find it annoying, the excellent sound through the Airpods makes it quite okay. In addition, the Mini 6 speakers offer a lot of depth and a decent volume, which is wonderful for such a small device.

As for the battery, Apple promises up to 10 hours of battery life for Wi-Fi models and up to nine hours when using a mobile network. However, the life of the battery largely depends on its use.

General Design

As mentioned above, the appearance of the Apple iPad Mini 6 has been completely revised. There is no home button in the new version of the iPad Mini, and the power button also serves as a Touch ID scanner. The model has a flat-edge design, which makes it possible to fix the pencil. It also works best with keyboard covers and accessories.

Apple’s iPad Mini 6 measures 7.7 x 5.3 x 0.25 inches and weighs just 0.65 lbs, making it lighter than rival Samsung Galaxy Tab A7’s similar model. The slim frame makes the Mini 6 very easy to use with one hand.

Apple iPad Mini 6 options and prices

The model is available in the following color options:

  • Space gray
  • Pink (New)
  • Purple (New)
  • Starlight (new)

You can also choose between 64GB and 256GB storage options. And as with all other iPad models, you get an optional LTE configuration.

So, the lowest Mini 6 Wi-Fi 64 GB model will cost you plus taxes. At the same time, the mobile version costs plus tax. The 256 GB model costs, respectively. In addition, buyers can make monthly payments at 0% APR for 12 months.

Finally, if you buy your iPad Mini 6 on the Apple zere website, you will have the opportunity to exchange your old Apple gadget during the payment process.

What to do with an old iPad that you no longer want?

If you own an older version of iPad but want to try something different, the second best option after swapping for a newer model is to sell it for money instead. And like any other Apple product, iPads have a much better resale price over time than other brands.

For example, if you have an earlier 2019 iPad Mini 5 64GB Wi-Fi version, it could earn you a cash offer. For comparison, the new Galaxy Tab A7 2020 model with the same used storage size costs only or less*.

To sell a used iPad online, you must first unsubscribe and delete it. It is important to turn off the Locate feature and log out of your iCloud account before doing anything else. Resetting the device while it is still associated with your Apple ID will not remove it from your account. And Apple devices locked by iCloud have no sales value.

If you’re on the fence about the new Apple iPad Mini 6, we say go for it. This almost pocket-sized tablet is a very capable device. True, you can’t connect the magic keyboard to it, but everything else is fair game. The Mini 6 can replace your regular iPad and Kindle. But it can also act as a portable iPad Pro, thanks to Apple Pencil support. Finally, if you don’t feel the need for your old used Apple gadget, at Gadget Salvation we will be happy to help you go green and get green.
